A CMB (charge management board) combines protection circuits (like what is found in a PCM) with DC smart charging (CC/CV). Use a CMB when you need to charge your battery pack with a DC power supply and need typical protection functions like short-circuiting, over-current, and over-voltage. Integrating the two functions on a single circuit board creates a smaller-format less expensive option than if they were assembled discretely.
A CMB can be used with lithium-ion batteries, like the 18650 battery, LiPo battery, or 21700 battery.
