Return Policy

WARRANTY AND RETURNS POLICY

By using Voltaplex products (as defined below), you agree to be bound by the terms of this Manufacturer’s Limited Warranty, hereby known as (“Warranty”) as set in this document. If you do not agree to the terms set out below, please do not purchase or use Voltaplex products.

1. Manufacturer Limited Warranty

JetWorks Trading LLC DBA Voltaplex Energy (“the Manufacturer”) warrants each battery pack, cell, or other component sold by the Voltaplex brand (“the Product”) to be free from defects on the date of sale as evidenced by the original purchasing receipt. The term defects, hereby known as (“the Defects”) includes but is not limited to external (rust, visual damage, etc.) and internal (performance ratings) caused by the manufacturer in labor/workmanship and/or materials. This Warranty is subject to a warranty period and other details which are to be determined on a per-product basis and may be subject to exclusions expressed prior to purchase. If applicable the Manufacturer will repair, or replace the Product and/or parts of the Product.

2. Warranty Procedure and Claim Submittal

In the unlikely event that the Product has the Defects you must (i) review this limited warranty and ensure the alleged defect is covered and (ii) contact a Voltaplex customer support representative as soon as possible either by chat, phone, or email for an initial assessment and to determine the cause of failure.

Please prepare supporting documentation including but not limited to photographs, testing reports, and conditions, or other information which may help determine the cause and repairability of the Product. The Manufacturer reserves the right to investigate testing and usage conditions and ensure that such are conducted properly before fulfilling its warranty claim. If the Product is not repairable and caused by a manufacturer defect then the Manufacturer will replace the Product at no cost to you within the Warranty period.

3. Returning Lithium-ion Products

Please do not attempt to return the Product to us without prior expressed consent from the Manufacturer. Shipping lithium-ion battery packs and component parts are subject to strict international shipping and Hazmat standards and failure to meet packaging, labeling, and other requirements may jeopardize safe transportation guidelines and cause the shipper liable for damages, fines, or other consequences which may be incurred from the improper shipping of the Product.

4. What is Covered in This Warranty

Warranty period, in reference to the Defects, is issued on a per-product basis. Voltaplex manufacturers a wide range of custom solutions, where it is impossible for one warranty period to apply for each Product. The list below suggests typical warranty periods.

  1. Lithium-ion cells typically have thirty (30) days warranty period which covers the Defects, as well as authenticity, and may include date-of-manufacturer and other details if expressed and agreed to by the Manufacturer prior to purchase.

  2. Lithium-ion battery packs typically have six (6) months warranty period which covers the Defects, as well as authenticity, and may include other details if expressed and agreed to by the Manufacturer prior to purchase.

  3. Other individual components like PCB, BMS, holders, connectors, cases, etc. are subject to individual warranty periods which may be specified prior to purchase.

5. Not Covered in This Warranty

The Manufacturer is not obligated to warrant the Product for the reasons included but not limited to those in this section.

Any damage due to abuse or neglect including the improper handling, use, or installation (loose termination points or incorrect connections, incorrect wire gauge, etc.), and normal wear and tear. Damage caused during shipping. Disassembling or tampering with the battery pack, cell, PCB, or other component parts is forbidden without prior expressed consent from the Manufacturer. The Product must not be used and/or connected to any device outside of its expressed application which it was designed and intended for as evidenced by prior communication.

Breakage from extreme hot or cold temperature (over-temperature, under-temperature) and/or pressure, the collision, impact, and/or puncture of the Product, improper storage conditions and/or maintenance (buildup of dirt, under-voltage, etc.), water or moisture damage, static electric shock, short-circuiting, over-current, under-current, over-voltage, under-voltage, and neglecting to follow the specifications in the Product’s data sheet, restricting airflow, and other forms of mishandling may lead to deterioration or failure and are not covered by the Warranty.

Furthermore, the Warranty does not cover the Product which has reached the end of its life under normal means. The power provided by lithium-ion products is limited and expressed as charge and/or discharge cycle lives which can not be guaranteed without long-duration cycle testing. Temperature, current, and other environmental and internal conditions can adversely affect cycle life of lithium-ion batteries. If the product reaches the end of its cycle life or drops below its threshold for providing power before the Warranty period, the Manufacturer reserves the right to deny the Warranty claim if the Product is determined upon inspection to be at the end of its normal cycle life.

6. Consigning and Distribution

Dealer, distributors, retailers, manufacturers, design firms, original equipment manufacturers (“OEM”), and other customers may offer an additional warranty to the Manufacturer’s Warranty. The Manufacturer is not responsible for such 3rd party created warranties or claims that may arise from said warranties. Please contact the listed party directly for the Warranty claims. If the Product is sent on to a different consignee (for example a customer), the Warranty is effectively void. The Manufacturer is unable to assume responsibility for ensuring that others are testing or using the Product or component parts correctly.

7. Legal Rights

Some countries, states, and local jurisdictions to not allow limitation on implied or exclusive warranties, or the limitation of incidental damages. Other than as permitted by law, the Manufacturer does not limit, exclude, or suspend other rights you may have. For the full scope of your rights please contact an expert consultant of the law of your business area.

8. Returns

The Manufacturer offers no returns or exchanges and operates under a zero return policy effective at the time of purchase. Replacements and repairs are outlined in this document and are subject to the Warranty. Please make note of the difference between our Warranty policy and the ability to return a product. This is due to the nature of lithium-ion batteries in that they irreversibly begin to deteriorate after initial usage. We are committed to providing excellent customer service, and should you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to contact us.

9. Warranty Disclaimer

The Warranty is in lieu of, and manufacturer disclaims and excludes, all other express or implied warranties. The manufacturer further limits the duration of all, whether statutory, express or implied warranties, including, without limitation, any warranty of sellability, defects, performance, or fitness for the Warranty period expressed prior to purchase.  The Manufacturer’s exclusive liability for breach of any warranty on the Product shall be to repair or replace the Product within the Warranty period in accordance with the terms and possible exclusions of this limited Warranty.

IN NO EVENT SHALL THE MANUFACTURER BE LIABLE FOR ANY LOSS OR DAMAGES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER DIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL INCLUDING LOST PROFITS, EXEMPLARY, SPECIAL OR OTHERWISE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO ANY LOST PROFITS OR REMOVAL, SHIPPING, OR INSTALLATION EXPENSES. EXCEPT FOR THE WARRANTY SET FORTH ABOVE, SELLER MAKES NO WARRANTY WHATSOEVER WITH RESPECT TO THE GOODS, INCLUDING ANY (A) WARRANTY OF SELLABILITY; OR (B) WARRANTY OF PERFORMANCE, DEFECTS, AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE; WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED BY LAW, COURSE OF DEALING, COURSE OF PERFORMANCE, USAGE OF TRADE OR OTHERWISE.
